Thomas Fickert is the CEO and founder of DEXPERIO, a Munich based digital experience factory, specialized in developing next-generation digital solutions based on immersive- visual- and spatial- computing technologies like augmented-, mixed- and virtual reality.

Thomas holds a master's degree in innovation and business creation, a diploma in business informatics, and is a certified user experience professional. During his professional career of now about 30 years he gained experiences in the areas of IT, interactive media, online, mobile as well as social media and digital marketing.

In his role as an entrepreneur - beyond various other companies - he co-founded MEX Multimedia Experts, one of the first german web agencies, building online experiences for enterprises like Mercedes Benz or IBM in the early 90s. Later he joined Microsoft Germany, where he held various marketing positions including the Digital Marketing Director role before he left after 10 years.

In his next chapter, he started his current company DEXPERIO along with engagements as a speaker, lecturer, and organizer of communities like the VR/AR Association Germany.

Thomas is a genuine digital guy who lives his passion. He has built a unique collection of far more than a hundred gadgets like smartphones, tablets, wearables, XR glasses, and other forms of the latest connected devices. He sees himself as a digital explorer, entrepreneur, and immersive technologist - always living on the digital edge. This said he and his team at DEXPERIO are working on their vision to make the whole world a browser by building immersive experiences for the spatial computing age.
