In a time where public health is the main topic of global discourse, the environmental struggles facing our planet may have faded into the background, but remain as pressing and prevalent as ever. While many activists are doing their part to protect endangered animals, cleaning oceans, saving rainforests and beyond, passive observers may not have an immediate enough viewpoint that would lead to action. That’s where immersive and story-driven VR comes in. 

Panelists including EarthXR Director of Programming and Partnerships Tiffany Kieran, Wildlife photographer Christophe Bailhache, VR filmmaker Sophie Ansel and Adrien Moisson, director of “Wild Immersion endorsed by Jane Goodall” will describe the benefits of engaging at-home viewers with immersive experiences that provide a rarely-seen glimpse into these dire environmental causes and how XR channels heighten empathy into greater action and impact.
