Augmented Reality (AR) is having a transformative role across multiple industries; biomedical applications are particularly promising, given the fact that practitioners are not able to divert the head to visualize data in several screens or move to access necessary information in a distant PC during medical procedures.

Providing wireless see-through AR headsets to professionals, through which visual information from several sources can be displayed in front of their eyes, without obstructing the visual field-of-view, is amongst some of the useful applications.

We must empower professionals with visualisation tools that make their work more comfortable, efficient and simultaneously with less errors, increasing safety. For example, surgeons spend several hours in surgery causing high fatigue and stress. These tools will prevent the occurrence of these situations during medical procedures, reducing significantly the associated risks.

We intend to demonstrate how the design of an ergonomic AR headset with high quality see-through screen image (small font size 9 readable) can have multiple reliable and useful applications.
