An experienced EFL instructor, David’s interest in VR dates back to 2018, when he attended his first in-VR workshop. He soon saw its potential for both academic and extracurricular use, regardless of one’s field. His presentation will explore this journey of discovery in Virtual Reality, and his efforts to increase awareness of and interest in VR at work. He will also include tips for those stakeholders who may not be part of the decision-making hierarchy, but who are nonetheless keen to work with their organisation in exploring VR for possible future adoption. The more higher education can increase students’ proficiency in VR, the more qualified graduates will be when they enter the work force.
