VR storytelling and UX are intertwined in ways unique to this medium. And there don’t seem to be many hard and fast rules for what always works.

Yes, if it’s going to be in 360º then there should be a reason for that - something relevant should be happening all around you at some points.
Yes, it’s more engaging for the visitor if there’s some level of interaction between you and the environment.
Yes, the story needs to be well written and directed, especially if it’s not strictly a linear narrative.
But otherwise, why do directors make the decisions they make?
